Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Butter (for greasing)
Directions:
Combine sugar, heavy cream, corn syrup, and salt in a saucepan. Stir to mix.
Cook over medium heat until mixture reaches 260°F (hard-ball stage), using a candy thermometer.
Pour hot candy mixture onto a buttered surface and let cool slightly.
When cool enough to handle, pull the candy by stretching and kneading until it turns opaque and creamy.
Shape the candy into long ropes and cut into bite-sized pieces. Let cool completely before serving.
