Ingredients:
2 large Granny Smith apples
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Peel, core, and slice each apple into 8 wedges. Wrap each apple wedge in a crescent roll triangle and place it in the baking dish.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon, mixing until the sugar dissolves.
Pour the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the wrapped apples.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
