Ingredients 3 cups cooked ham, diced 4 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (or frozen hash browns) 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup ½ cup sour cream ½ cup milk 2 tablespoons butter, melted ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon onion powder Salt and black pepper, to taste Optional Topping ½ cup crushed buttery crackers or cornflakes 2 tablespoons melted butter Instructions Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in potatoes, diced ham, onion, and 1½ cups of the shredded cheese. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. If using a topping, mix crushed crackers or cornflakes with melted butter and sprinkle over casserole. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
