1 lb Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
½ cup sliced pepperoni
½ cup sliced bell peppers & onions
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the Crispy Fries:
4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
🥄 Step-by-Step Instructions
1 Prepare the Deep-Dish Dough:
In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, cornmeal, salt, and olive oil. Mix until dough forms.
Knead for about 5 minutes, then cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
2 Make the Pizza Sauce:
Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
Simmer for 20 minutes until thickened.
3 Assemble & Bake the Deep-Dish Pizza:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Roll out dough and press it into a greased deep-dish pizza pan.
Layer mozzarella cheese first (prevents sogginess).
Add crumbled sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, and onions.
Spread pizza sauce over the toppings.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
4 Prepare the Crispy Fries:
Toss potato fries with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Spread on a baking sheet and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
5 Serve & Enjoy!
Slice up the cheesy, buttery deep-dish pizza.
Serve with crispy, golden fries on the side.
