Easter Dirt Cake Casserole

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 package (about 400g) chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreo), crushed
  • 100g butter (softened)
  • 225g cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings:

  • Pastel candy-coated chocolates (like M&M’s)
  • Marshmallow chicks (like Peeps)
  • Chocolate eggs or mini eggs
  • Optional: shredded coconut dyed green (for “grass”)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Crush the cookies
Crush the cookies into fine crumbs. Set aside.
  2. Make the cream base
Beat butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Prepare pudding
In another bowl, whisk milk, pudding mix, and vanilla until thickened.
  4. Combine
Fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture, then gently fold in the whipped topping.
  5. Layer the “dirt”
    In a casserole dish:
    • Add a layer of cookie crumbs
    • Spread half the creamy mixture
    • Repeat layers, finishing with cookie crumbs on top
  6. Decorate
Top with candies, marshmallow chicks, and “grass” for a festive look.
  7. Chill
Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours (or overnight) before serving.

🍽️ Tips:

  • Make it in individual cups for cute single servings
  • Add gummy worms for a classic “dirt cake” twist
  • Use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla for a richer version
