Homemade Italian Stromboli
Ingredients:
▪️1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
▪️½ cup marinara sauce
▪️1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
▪️½ cup provolone cheese shredded
▪️½ cup pepperoni slices
▪️½ cup salami slices
▪️½ cup ham slices
▪️1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
▪️1 tbsp Italian seasoning
▪️2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
▪️Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Dough:
Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
Add Fillings:
Spread marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
Layer mozzarella, provolone, pepperoni, salami, and ham over the sauce.
Roll and Seal:
Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other, sealing the edges.
Pinch the seams and tuck the ends under. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Brush and Season:
Brush the top with beaten egg, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan.
Bake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
