Ingredients:
For the chicken stir-fry:
2 chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
5 cloves garlic (minced)
1 red bell pepper (sliced)
1 green bell pepper (sliced)
1 onion (sliced)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
1 tbsp cornstarch
¼ cup water
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
1 tbsp sesame oil (optional for flavor)
For the steamed rice:
1 cup rice
2 cups water
Pinch of salt
How to Make:
1. Cook the Rice
Rinse the rice until water runs clear.
Add to a pot with water and salt.
Cover and cook on low for 15 minutes until soft.
Fluff and set aside.
2. Make the Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and cook until fragrant and lightly golden.
Add sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked and slightly browned.
Add onion and bell peppers; cook 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Pour the sauce mixture over everything.
Stir and cook until thick, glossy, and sizzling.
Finish with sesame oil and chili flakes if you like.
