Chocolate Coconut Bars

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients:

2 cups (160 g) shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)

1 can (300โ€“400 g) sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups (350 g) chocolate chips (milk or dark)

1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter (optional, for smoother melting)

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ Instructions:

Preheat oven

Set to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) and line an 8ร—8-inch (20ร—20 cm) pan with parchment paper.

Mix coconut base

In a bowl, combine shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until fully mixed.

Press into pan

Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it down firmly into an even layer.

Bake

Bake for 15โ€“20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Melt chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in 20โ€“30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.

Add chocolate layer

Pour melted chocolate over the baked coconut layer and spread evenly.

Chill

Refrigerate for 1โ€“2 hours, or until the chocolate is fully set.

Slice & serve

Lift out using parchment, cut into bars or squares, and enjoy!

๐Ÿ’ก Tips:

For a no-bake version, skip baking and chill the coconut layer longer before adding chocolate.

Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top for a sweet-salty combo.

Add chopped nuts or drizzle white chocolate for extra flair.
