Christmas Crochet Spiral Hanging Decoration
Materials

Spiral Ribbon
With red yarn:
Ch a foundation chain long enough to create the desired length.
Work several rows of sc until the strip reaches the desired width.
Change between red, green, and white yarn to create colorful horizontal stripes.
Continue until the ribbon measures approximately 50–70 cm, depending on the desired size.
FO and weave in the ends.
Shape the finished strip into a loose spiral.
Secure a few points discreetly with matching yarn so it keeps its spiral shape.
White Edging
Attach white yarn along both long edges of the spiral.
Work a neat row of sc.
Add small decorative stitches along the edge if desired.

Christmas Star
With yellow yarn:

Continue working around the circle while shaping five points.
Create each point by increasing toward the tip and decreasing back toward the center.

Attach a white beard.
Santa Hat
With red yarn:
Ch a small starting chain.
Work sc while gradually decreasing to form a cone.
Add a white brim and small white pom-pom.
Sew the hat onto Santa’s head.
